( Tufts University, Health Sciences ) A class of compounds that interferes with cell signaling pathways may provide a novel approach to cancer treatment, according to a new study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences early edition. The compounds, called PITs, limited tumor growth in mice by inducing cell death.
