i have a mrp-m1000 amp, my head unit is a kenwood excelon...don't remember the model. the stereo is rated at 4 volts on the pre-outs, currently i'm allowing approx. 2 volts to the amp.
here's the situation, i'm going to be entering into a comp. and am curious what the consequences would be if i were to run a line driver to increase the pre-amp volts to around 5-7V. the amp is rated at 4volts.
would it simply hit harder? or would i risk blowing the amp?
